Idea Sketching

   I have been staring at this black wall for days.   

Quite a few ideas.

Ranging from really ambitious wall murals.. 

(think black and white photography surrealism)

to painted wallpaper pattern with emphasis on colorful canvas headboard.

   This was my original idea...

To use black and white only (on wall) or accent colored roses?

The canvas crown idea is 'filler' until I think of a better personalized piece.

so many ideas, but I think this will be the easiest, cutest and fastest route for my first room experiment.

The Kennedy Progress Report

I haven't come as far as I would have liked to this week.I'm helping with VBS this week and haven't had the time.BUTTTTT! The wall is prepared and ready for action :)

THE KENNEDY PROJECT

JUNE 1st

[i love the beginning of a new month.  Time to set new goals or re-establish old ones.]

In addition to my month of gym/health dedication, I'd like to fulfill my duties as a big sister and baby-sitter extraordinaire, (I'm talking about a Mary Poppins ranking) while maintaining and satisfying my imagination and craving for creation.

I was out of the country this past October and missed Kennedy's birthday.

To make it up to her, I had planned to do a personalized painting for her room.

BUT not just any old painting.

A piece that would be perfect for an unique and extraordinary 8 year old.

This little painting has now evolved into a full blown project.

An entire room makeover of personalized 'COUTURE DECOR' (as I like to call it). 

An experiment/ hobby I have always wanted to take on.

Because I am trying to stay under budget, I must be creative as possible.

Join me on the journey???

Before I found this book I had started journaling last July on a regular basis.  Adding sketches form my journey every now and then.  This sketch came from our drive to Croatia in September 2012:

Oh So Lovely Organic

The most frequently asked question during my travels was:
"What do you look forward to the most about going home?"
Of course the answer was the sense of home and seeing friends and family.
As for my personal life.. The independence of small decisions made everyday.
Nothing beats grocery shopping and cooking for yourself!


I LOVE food and was graciously given plenty of it over my last year of travels (in many different forms), but the time has come to start a new life with a new healthy lifestyle.  


For skin, anti-aging, energy, weight control, and overall health,
I'd like to eat as many organic foods as possible.
[This isn't a diet.  This is a lifestyle change.]

This week's groceries.

Fruit smoothie breakfast.

(Recommended by personal trainer for weight loss.)

Water. No milk, not even skim.

Still tastes DELISH.

Includes:

Fruit

Ice

Water

Whey protein

For a healthier lifestyle:


I would encourage anyone to eat more fruits and vegetables..
AND CUT OUT SODA FOREVERRRRRRRR!!!!
EVEN THE DIET STUFF. (EW!)
[Stop all those diet cokes and replace with water.
You will lose weight so fast!]


LESS BREAD!
(I've tried to stop completely.
Started with cutting out all white bread, 
then no bread after lunch, then only at breakfast..
wheat toast with organic peanut butter.)
